LNG - - bad hoodoo

I just let Governor Kulongoski, my U.S. Representative and Senator, and Oregon agency directors know that I fully oppose the construction of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals at three Oregon sites.

The emissions involved with the transportation and storage of LNG more than cancel the benefits as a transmittable energy source. Additionally, construction of LNG terminals in the Columbia River Estuary and Coos Bay would have a negative environmental impact and expose surrounding communities to substantial safety risks given the inherent fire threats related to LNG.

You can visit Onward Oregon at www.onwardoregon.org for more information or to quickly send an email to your state representative about this important issue.
